On August 30, 2008 Frank received his "Banshee Supercharger Kit". Frank was aware that the kit had (not) been installed on a Mustang and had agreed to participate and provide updates and pictures of his install and I agreed to provide what might be needed to complete his install. This would allow me to have a kit available specifically for the Mustang using the 4.0 SOHC engine. Some of the known item's right up front were (A) the throttle body is a "drive by-wire" setup, (B) the automatic transmission is a 5R55S "that is stronger than the 5R55E used in the ranger".
As the install progressed we found that the "drive by wire throttle body" has a different bolt pattern and that the 2" throttle body spacer would not be needed as the mustang had a idle air bypass built into the throttle body. I then designed an adapter to install between the intake plenum and the mustang throttle body (that is shown in picture below).
Frank started his install and everything went pretty well (until) he found that his stock hood would come in contact with the supercharger pulley. Frank participates in local car shows and wishes to keep his vehicle to stock appearance so he does not want to change or modify his hood.
This is the point where the install stopped.
